Certified Pick up
Certified Pick up is a digital platform for the release of containers at Port of Antwerp-Bruges.
In Zeebrugge, the platform is being rolled out for the CSP Zeebrugge Terminal. “Following the successful implementation of the Inbound Release Platform (IRP), we are now taking the next step in Zeebrugge towards the digitalisation of the release process with Certified Pick up,” explains Nancy Van Osselaer, commercial manager at CSP Zeebrugge.
The system replaces PIN codes with identity verification. “As a terminal operator, we take our responsibility seriously to make the release and collection of containers safer, more transparent and more efficient.”
When Certified Pick-up becomes operational in November, PIN codes for collecting containers will be completely phased out. This means that the import process for a container at the CSP Zeebrugge Terminal will be handled entirely via Certified Pick-up.
This transition will take place in two phases, as shown in the image.
For our customers, this means a transparent and predictable flow of information, with the status of every container clear at all times. This is a forward-looking development that will further enhance the efficiency, safety and quality of our services.
